Insider Secrets To Picking Trade Show Promo Items

This is the last of my posts about trade shows (for a little while), but also one of the most important. I’m going to fill you in on some of the questions I’ve found over time that when answered give the best ROI on trade show promo products.
I know trade show season is coming up for many of my clients so it’s been on my mind a lot lately, especially as they come to me for ideas on what to purchase.
Here’s the thing: not all attendees are going to be your target audience. Trade show statistics state that roughly 12 percent of show attendees are your potential buyer. This means you must carefully choose your giveaways to appeal to that small group.
Here are three targeted questions to get you on track:
- Does the show have an overall theme or does the booth have a theme?
- What are the specific objectives for the show? (Get leads, launch a new product, etc.)
- Who out of the attendees would be your ideal client?
There are a number of other questions I ask my clients to make sure they’re getting the most they can out of their promo items and that they’re appropriately branded, but this should give you a good starting point.
